Lynavo is an open-source organization building practical software in public.
We believe people should be able to understand, use, modify, and share the tools they rely on. Our mission is to create approachable software that gives users greater control, protects their privacy, and solves real-world problems without unnecessary complexity or lock-in.
Our projects are built for people across platforms, regions, and levels of technical experience.
- Open by Default: Our projects are developed in public and released under open-source licenses.
- User Freedom: People should remain in control of their software, data, and workflows.
- Practical Technology: We build tools that address real needs instead of adding complexity for its own sake.
- Privacy by Design: We minimize unnecessary services, accounts, and data collection.
- Community Collaboration: Good ideas and meaningful contributions can come from anyone.
Lynavo is home to a growing collection of open-source projects designed to solve practical, real-world problems.
An open-source, local-LAN incremental media sync tool connecting mobile devices and desktop computers.
Lynavo Drive automatically syncs photos and videos from iOS or Android to macOS or Windows. It also lets users browse, preview, and download files from a computer's shared folder while connected to the same local network.
No Lynavo-hosted cloud storage, relay, account, cable, or NAS is required for the core foreground LAN workflow.
This organization is growing. New projects will be added as they become ready for the community.
Lynavo grows through collaboration. Engineers, designers, documentation writers, testers, translators, and curious users are all welcome.
